 BOOKS THAT MADE ME LAUGH
Huggly is a friendly monster who leaves his hiding place under the bed to check out the bathroom one night. This book is fun and the story is really pretty clever. I loved it!

BOOKS WITH SUPER-CREATIVE, CLEVER PLOTS
Gladys the gorilla has escaped from the zoo, and must be tracked down. This book is one of my all-time favorites. It's funny, it's modern, it has a clever ending, and the detailed pictures just add to the hilarity. The banana bread recipe at the end is a great bonus!

This books explains how therapy horses can help children with disabilities. It was exceptionally well-written, and literally brought tears to my eyes. You can tell by reading the story that the author has a deep-seated respect for all people and animals.

A boy with a big imagination finds his bath time to be much more whimsical than most. This book actually only has illustrations, and they tell the story phenomenally.

As the title suggests, the book tells the tale of a farmer whose sheep refuse to go to sleep. As a mama whose baby sometimes refuses to go to sleep, I found this book delightful!

Toddler independence. The little girl in this story is hilarious, and the pictures really add their own story to the tale. The ending, though, makes reading the book really worth it.

A simple tale about a friendly monster who just wants to play with the colorful forest bunnies. Only a few words per page. The monster's quick mood shifts are hilariously similar to those of a toddler.

Everyone has heard of Miss Nelson- the too-nice teacher whose class takes advantage of her kindness and acts up. I loved this book when I was little, and it didn't disappoint when I found it years later and read it to my own daughter.

This nursery-rhyme book can be sung. How fun is that? The first time I read it, I had no idea how many more times I would end up singing it to my daughter- she loves it, and so do I!
